Qri really loves to take pictures of delicious food. There was this one day, our little friend Qri showed me pictures of the delicious food that she just ate.
I asked excitedly, “Wow! This looks really delicious! What is this?”
Qri replied with a smirk, “This is grass!”
I was lost for words, “Huh?”
Qri said, “It’s salad! Isn’t salad made of ‘grass’?”
After seeing our little student Qri say that, I finally understood why she always say, “请多多吃草!”
Translator’s note: The correct greeting phrase should be “请多多指教” (qǐng duōduō zhǐjiào/please guide me along) instead of “请多多吃草” (qǐng duōduō chī cǎo/please eat lots of grass).
